House. C17 or earlier, N wing late C17. Timber frame on brick
sill part painted, part stucco. Weatherboarded E service bay,
roughcast with weatherboarded apron elsewhere except framing
exposed on gable of N wing, and fake timbering applied to W gable
facing road. Steep thatched roof. A T-plan single-storey house
facing N with projecting parlour wing in middle of N side.
Central red brick chimney with flue added in C20 for formerly
unheated parlour. Boarded door on strap hinges and small
casement flush windows. Cusped and lobed bargeboards. Clasped
purlin roofs and straight tension bracing in N wing. Unusual
single-storey thatched house.
