1889 bank building, originally Bucks and Oxon Bank. Tall three storey brick and terracotta elevation, now painted, with free Gothic detail. Four bay front with gable over centre two bays. Ground floor arcade of four-centred arches with foliate capped pilasters and ornate moulding to two centre bay spandrels. Upper floors divided 1-2-1 with pilaster strips at first floor. String courses across. First floor windows with stilted concave corner heads and ornate hood moulds. Second floor windows with moulded flat heads. Festoon panels below. Pointed arch tympanum over centre pair with decorative carving, linked hood moulds and carved panel in spandrel between. Small lunette above. Gable coped with kneelers and finial, paired console brackets and dentil moulding. Over outer bays parapet, cornice on console brackets and large terminal console brackets. Slate roof and moulded brick end wall chimneys.
