House. C16 open hall house, C17 inserted floor and central
chimney, extended 1 bay to W in 1970's and 2 left hand dormers
added. Timber frame on tarred brick sill. Frame exposed with
white infill panels and steep old red tile roof. A long, one and
a half storeys, 3-cell, central chimney, lobby-entry plan house
facing S. Lower single-storey painted brick and tile former
harness maker's shop set back at E end. With one bay W
extension, now a near symmetrical front with 4 3-light leaded
casement windows. Central boarded door with glass panel and
drip-board on shaped brackets. Old 3-light gabled dormer window
at eaves to right of door. 2 matching gabled dormers to left of
door. Tall red brick central chimney, upper part C18. Interior
has chamfered joists to inserted floors in hall. Formerly called
Town House.
