Details
WEAVERTHORPE MAIN STREET SE 97 SE (south side) 10/74 Rarey Farmhouse and attached walls - II Farmhouse. Late C18; altered and extended in 1849 (on datestone). House red mottled brick in English garden wall bond, extended in orange mottled brick; pantile roof. Wall red and plum brick in English garden wall bond, with sandstone coping. 2-storey, 3-window front with 2-storey, 1-window extension at right. Attached wall at left. House: centre door of 4 panels beneath divided overlight, in pilaster-and-cornice doorcase. Datestone over door inscribed: M D L 1849 All windows are.16-pane sashes with painted sills and lintels, those to original windows tooled. Coped gables and shaped kneelers: Left end and right-of-centre stacks. Wall: approximately 1.5 metres high, ramped up at house end, with flat coping.
