Detached house. Circa 1700, extended later in C18. Oldest portion in brick, Flemish bond, over stone plinth, remainder
in local stone cut and squared; thatched roof with coped and gabletted finial west gable, plain to east; brick chimney
stacks, the two centre stacks massive. Single storey with attic, 8 bays, of which bays 6, 7 and left half of 8 are in
brick, with dentilled band course between floors. Mostly horizontal-bar casement windows of varying heights, all
2-light except bay 2 which is 3-light; above set into roof, are leaded-light casements all 2-light, but 3-light bay 4,
and the bay 1 window set lower: to lower bay 3 a boarded door set into heavy frame with brickwork and tiled open porch
with timber clad gable: blocked doorway between bays 7/8 with cartouche of arms set over; between bays 6/7 a small
stone surround single light leaded windows. Casement windows in stone west gable; east gable has dentilled band course
at eaves level and is brick above. Various outshut buildings to rear, mostly brick faced. Interior not seen.
