Rectory, now house. Early C18,with late C18 and early C19 alterations and
additions. Painted brick with C20 concrete tile roof. Two storeys and
gable-lit attic. North front: plat bands above ground- and first-floor
windows. Brick end stack, that to left external (rebuilt in C20).
Three bays; boxed glazing bar sashes with painted stone cills and gauged
brick heads with raised keystones. First-floor right-hand window
rendered blind (or blocked). Central half-glazed door (2 lower panels
and 9 small panes) with moulded mitred wooden frame. Late C18 or early
C19 brick porch, extending to right, with hipped slate roof and depressed
archway to left. Right-hand gable end: refenestrated in the early C19.
Two windows; glazing bar sashes to ground floor and 4-pane sashes to first
floor. Late C18 slate-roofed ground-floor lean-to to left, with glazing
bar sash to front. C18 segmental-headed boxed glazing bar sashes to
rear. INTERIOR: early C18 three-flight rectangular-well oak staircase
with closed string, turned balusters, moulded handrail and square newel
posts with moulded capitals; dog-leg flight to attic with stick balusters.
Chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops. Old kitchen fireplace in
left-hand rear room. Cellar with dressed sandstone blocks and chamfered beam.
