7/145 Abrahams Farmhouse, and front boundary railings 4.2.58 GV II
Detached farahouse. Probably C18. Ham stone, mostly coursed rubble, but with cut and squared work under eaves suggesting raising of roof; thatched roof between coped gables; brick and chimney stacks. 'L'-plan; 2 storeys, 6-bays irregular fenestration. Horizontal-bar casement windows of 2-lights, with a pair of windows lower bay 2; the windows to bays 1,5 and 6 heightened and set under segmental arches, with part of another arch to left of bay 2; the window to upper bay 4 is a square C18 single-light rectangular leaded unit; below to left of bay 4 a C18 door in heavy frame, with timber hood on wrot- iron bracket. East gable has tiff doorway in new opening, with lean-to at rear; to south-west corner an extension with gableted rear coping finial. Interior not seen. About 3 metres north of house the boundary railings, cast -iron horizontal bars with cast uprights and circular corner columns and gateposts, with matching gate opposite doorway, adding to the setting of the house.
