Details

BELL STREET 1. 5253 (South Side) Nos 28 and 30 TL 4829 1483:3/34 II GV 2. Late C18 possibly refronted in brick in C19. Old red tiled gabled roof. Painted brick front in Flemish bond. Handed semi-detached pair of 2 storey housed sharing large central stack. Each house has one front window to each floor, with the doors next to the outer corners. Low plinth rendered and painted. Windows at No 28 and upper one at No 30 are C18 flush boxed sashes slightly recessed with 6/6 panes. Slightly cambered soffit to gauged arch on Gd floor. Both doors have small moulded flat hoods on cut brackets. No 28 has 4 panel flush door. No 30 has C19 half-glazed shop door and small pilastered 2-light display window with moulded caps and bases above cill, fascia and moulded cornice on scrolled brackets A little altered example.
