House, now divided into 2 cottages. C17 with later additions and
alterations. Timber framed with painted brick infill on rubblestone
plinth; graded slate roof. 3 or 4 framed bays, probably originally
of baffle-entry plan. One storey and attic. Framing: square panels,
3 from cill to wall-plate with long and short straight tension braces;
V-struts from collar to right gable end. Late C19 casement fenestration,
2 to left and one to right of C20 lean-to porch; prominent gabled
half-dormer to left of centre has 2 late C19 casements; infilled doorway
beneath. Entrance to No. 9 through boarded door in right gable end
and to No. 7 through half-glazed door in C20 rendered addition (not
of special architectural interest) to left. Brown brick ridge stack
with top rebuilt in mid-C19 brick to right of centre; former integral
end stack to left at junction with C20 addition. Interior: not inspected
but likely to be of interest.
