8/118 Vennington Farmhouse -
- II
Farmhouse. Mid-to late C18 incorporating mid-C17 core; extended in mid-to late C19. Red brick probably with timber framed core; extended in coursed sandstone rubble with red brick dressings; slate roof. 2 + 1 room baffle entry plan; C19 addition forming L-plan. 2-storey and attic addition. Dentil brick eaves cornice; large brick ridge stack off- centre to right and external brick end stack to left (with C20 brick top stage). 4 bays; C19 segmental-headed 3-light wooden casements except for ground-floor 2-light wooden casement to left and second-floor 2-light wooden casements; blind first-and second-floor windows in second bay from right; boarded door in second bay from right with gabled porch. Left-hand ground-floor window is probably former doorway (see straight joints). One-storey brick lean-to addition to left with C20 brick porch at front. C19 gabled wing at rear.
