THERFIELD HOOPS LANE TL 33 NW (West side) Hay Green 4/113 Smith End II Two houses linked to form 1 dwelling. Late C17 and late C18 with C20 link and alterations. Larger house to right is earlier. Timber frame, weatherboarded and rendered. Steeply pitched half hipped thatched roof. Originally 2 cell lobby entry. 1 storey and attics. 4 window front with central entrance. Weatherboarding below sills of 1 and 2 light flush frmae casements. 2 small dormers with eyebrow thatching. Axial ridge stack with rebuilt cap to right of centre. 2 light casements in gable ends, that to left weatherboarded over a ground floor lean-to. To rear a lobby entrance, casements. To left a 1 storey tiled C20 link with an entrance leading to C18 house at right angles. Rendered clunch with flint and brick plinth. Corrugated iron roof. 2 bays, 2 storeys. 2 light small pane flush frame casements. Central rendered ridge stack. Left end weatherboarded lean-to. Entrance to rear left.
