Details
BERRINGTON C.P. BERRINGTON SJ 5206-5306 11/40 Pair of Meire memorials - approximately one metre to east of south porch of Church of All Saints GV II Pair of chest tombs. Late C18. Grey sandstone ashlar. Western memorial: moulded plinth, side panels with incized borders and flanking fluted pilaster strips, sunken oval end panels with flanking fluted pilaster strips, and moulded cornice to flat top; to Mr. Samuel Meire, died 6th October, 1783, aged 60. Eastern memorial: chamfered plinth; sides have oval panels with radial corners, tall flanking panels with oval rosettes, and flanking fluted pilaster strips; recessed end panels with corner decoration, and moulded cornice to flat top; to Mr. Samuel Meire, died 25th January, 1797, aged 37.
