WHITCHURCH RURAL C.P. BROUGHALL SJ 54 SE 2/23 Nos. 6 (Tudor Cottage) - and 7. - II

Cottage, now divided. Mid-to late C17 with some late C19 alterations. Timber framed with plastered and brick infill. Slate roof. Framing: square panels, 3 from sole plate to wall plate. 2 framed bays. One storey and attic. Raking semi dormer to left with C20 two-light small- paned casement and altered raking dormer to right. 2-window front; C20 two-light small-paned casement to left and late C20 window to right with top light. Left-hand gable end: half-glazed C20 door to right and late C20 gabled porch dated 1677. Exposed collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts. C19 two-storey rendered brick addition adjoining to right with dentil brick eaves cornice and external brick end stack; 2-light wooden casement to each floor, that to ground floor with segmental head, and 4-panelled door to left. Framing at rear, No. 6 with brick infill and No. 7 rendered. Lean-to additions. Interiors not inspected.
