Farmhouse. C17, altered late C18. Timber frame on projecting black
stucco sill, weatherboarded but painted white at front, dark
weatherboarded at sides. Plastered end gable triangle and single-storey
rear outshut projecting at ends. Red tile roofs, rear catslide extending
over outshut with hipped projecting ends. Red tilehanging to cheeks of
large central front dormer. 2-storeys and attics, 3-windows wide,
symmetrical house facing S with E gable towards road. Internal-chimney,
lobby-entry, 2-cells plan with continuous rear outshut. S front has
large gabled dormer central at eaves with 2-lights casement windows.
Similar flush casement window central on 1st floor over lean-to open
porch and 4-panels half-glazed door in moulded surround. Outer windows
flush-box sashes with 3/3 panes on 1st floor and 8/8 panes on ground
floor. 2-light casements to attic and each floor on ends. C18 leaded
plate casement remains on ground floor at E. Large red brick stack with
4 flues axial along ridge. Small gabled dormer to rear roofslope.
