Details

KIRBY MUXLOE MAIN STREET SK 50 SW 4/39 Nos 30 and 32 13.11.81 II Pair of estate cottages. Mid C19. Pale red brick, cogged brick eaves, ornamental slate roofs, brick chimneys. Symmetrical. Main block is of one storey and attic and 2 bays; small single storey bays are set back to either side, possible of later date. Cast-iron casements with diagonal latticing in chamfered brick surrounds with slightly cambered heads. Ground floor windows of main block are of 3-lights; attic has 2-light windows in gabled eaves-line dormers. Single storey bays also have 2-light casements. C20 door to right of main block in original chamfered surround; C20 gabled brick porch to left of main block with matching 2-light casement to front. Central chimney with altered pair of diagonal shafts; single diagonal chimney shafts to gables of small end bays.
