Terrace of 5 estate houses, now 2 houses. Early/mid C18 probably for servants
of the Gilbert family of St Paul's Walden Bury, they stand at the foot of the old
south drive formerly called Bury Hill. Mid C19 north extension of one house, with
large C20 north extension set back. Older part of brick, painted at front. Steep
old red tile roof carried down over rear outshut. C19 extension has slate roof
at flatter pitch. A 2-storeys terrace facing east, with 4 windows to 1st floor
alternating with blind recesses. 4 ground floor windows below the upper ones and
3 doorways below the blind panels, the right hand doorway being wider originally
for 2 doors. External south gable chimney, internal chimney in middle, and internal
gable chimney at north. C19 extension and C20 extension not of special interest.
