SJ 4800-4900 LONGNOR C.P. LONGNOR SJ 48712 00640 9/67 Gate and gate piers - approx. 166 metres to north-east of Longnor Hall

Gate and gate piers. Pair of early C18 gate piers, late C19 gate. Square grey sandstone ashlar piers with plinth, chamfered rustication, and moulded caps (replaced in probably mid-C19). 6-bar painted wooden gate. The gate and piers stand at the north-east entrance to Longnor Hall (q.v.). The gate piers are similar to 4 to the north-west of Longnor Hall (q.v.) and a pair to the east of the Church of St. Mary (q.v.).
