railings to Knapp Cottage
GV II
Boundary walls with railings, piers and gates. Earlier Cl9. Ham stone ashlar, cast iron railings. Walling about one
metre high, with chamfered coping, crowned with railings having an interwoven circle motif; in west corner of south
wall the gate piers, square, with moulded plinths and caps, and between them a gate with cast iron acanthus spikes;
simpler gate opposite west doorway: the whole adds to the setting of Knapp House (q.v.) and to the streetscene
generally.
