GV II
Shown on O.S. map as Pen-y-Llan. Villa. Circa 1830-40 with later aditions and alterations. Stuccoed brick on ashlar plinth, hipped slate roofs with wide spreading eaves supported on stone corbelled brackets, yellow brick and rendered ridge and end stacks. Italianate villa style. 2 storeys with cill band and moulded floor band below; main front of 2:3:2 bays, central section forming projecting open-pedimented break, glazing bar sashes with tall narrow sash windows flanking central window of pediment on both floors, lunette window above; flat-roofed entrance porch in angle with slightly projecting garden range to right has segmental-headed outer arch with projecting keystone, pilastered door surround and decorated brackets supporting flat hood; right return (garden front) of 3:1:1 bays, sash windows in moulded architraves to left and pediment to right with segmental-headed tripartite sash window on ground floor; left gable end of this front has round-arched recess with pointed vermiculated voussoirs and projecting keystone to base of external stack.
