II
Pair of lodges, gate piers & gates, c1850 in Jacobethan style. Ashlar throughout, with slate roof. The lodges are of 1 gabled bay, 2 storeyed, with mullion & transom windows with hoodmoulds, and ornate.shaped gables. On the outside of each a single storey block with crow stepped gables containirg a blank shield. Side entrances, with 4 centred arches in square hood moulds: Stone eaves, cornice, ornate gable end stacks. Adjoining the lodges, paired pedestrian gates in 4 centred arched openings with square hoodmoulds & cornice over, octagonal gate pier capped by cornice & iron deer. 4 wrought iron gates bearing shield, of arms, emblems & spear heads etc.
