1/78 Manor Farmhouse (previously listed in the parish of Charterhouse as Manor Farm House) 9.2.61 II
Manor house, now farmhouse. Early C17, some C19 alteration. Believed to be for John May, Sheriff of Somerset. Coursed rubble, ashlar garden front with parapet and coping, ashlar stacks, double Roman tile roof. Two storeys, garden front of 1:3 bays, to left under a front-facing gable with moulded coping, carved ornamental finial; 2, 3 and 4-light moulded stone mullioned windows, to ground floor transomed and left bay of first floor; continuous string to first floor and across gable face. C20 door opening inserted between third and fourth bays, half-glazed door. Entrance front with 2-storeyed porch, 2-light stone mullioned window to first floor, 4-centred arch door opening in a freestone surround; panelled inner door.
