(east side) 14/165 The Thatches 1.1.68 II
Group of 3 cottages, now a house. Mid C18 and C19. Coursed and squared ironstone, partly rendered, with limestone ashlar dressings and concrete tile roofs. 3 ridge stacks and a paired gable stack, all stone with plain copings. South front, one and a half storeys, 3 bays, has a central 2 light casement with a wooden lintel flanked to left by a partly blocked doorway and to right by a close boarded door. Beyond, on either side, a 2 light casement, that to left with a wooden lintel. Beyond again, to left, a close boarded door with a wooden lintel. Above, 3 C20 cross eaves dormers with C19 2 light casements. East side has a 2 light casement flanked to left by a close boarded door and to right by a small casement with a gabled head. Above, to left, a 2 light casement. Beyond, to left, a lower C19 addition with a brick corner stack and to right, a close boarded door. South gable has a C20 casement. West side, to street, has an off- centre 2 light casement flanked by single recessed C20 doors. Above, 3 two light casements. North side has an off-centre C20 2 light casement flanked to left by a smaller single casement and to right by a 2 light casement with a wooden lintel. Above, 2 two light casements.
