Lodge, now a house. Mid C19 and C20. Coursed and squared ironstone and brick with limestone ashlar dressings and Collyweston slate roof. Chamfered plinth, first floor band, quoins, patterned bargeboards with drops, paired coped stone gable stack with the stalks set diagonally. 2 storeys, 3 bays. T-plan. South front has to left a gabled porch with a moulded Tudor arched doorway with hood mould and a plank door with ornamental hinges. Above it, a square moulded blank panel. To the right, a C20 lean-to single storey addition in matching style, with a 6 light wooden mullioned casement with elliptical heads and leaded glazing. To right again, lean-to porch with a single chamfered casement. Above, to right, a gabled dormer with bargeboard and a 2 light mullioned leaded casement. East gable has a slightly projecting centre with a central 2 light mullioned casement flanked to left by a moulded 4 centred arched doorway with a plank door. Above, a 3 light cross mullioned casement. All these openings have flat hoods. To the left, a 4 centred arched doorway with keystone. To the right, a lean-to single storey bay with a mullioned casement. North side has to right, a 3 light mullioned casement and to left, a lean-to with a C20 casement. West gable has a central hipped bay window with a 4 light mullioned casement, and above, a 2 light mullioned casement. To the right, a small chamfered casement. This building was erected as a lodge to the south east entrance to Stapleford Park.
