Large house, mainly late C19, possibly with earlier origins. Finely coursed ironstone rubble and one brick wing. Stone tiled and Welsh slate roofs. Two storeyed, with three storeyed rear wing. South elevation is of three bays on plinth with three and four light mullioned and transomed windows to ground floor and three 4-light mullions above, all ovolo moulded. String course forms hood mould to lower window. Axial and gable stacks. East elevation is entrance front, with lean-to two storey porch, its upper storey supported on chamfered wood posts and braces, mounted on an embattled coped stone base. This upper storey is half timbered with pargetting; flowers, shields of arms, and the initials HM. It contains a single 2-light casement window. To its right, advanced slightly is a gabled brick wing with 4-light mullioned and transomed window to ground floor, 4-light mullion above, and slit in apex of coped gable. To the west the rear wing may be C18. Coursed ironstone rubble, three storeyed, the upper storey probably later. Central door and flanking wood mullioned and transomed leaded casements with flat stone lintels.
