FAWLEY CALSHOT ROAD SU 40 SE 13/14 Ower Farm House 20.11.84 II
House. Early C19. Yellow brick on plinth of roughly squared Portland stone, slate roof. 2 storey, 3 x 2 bay. Centre added square-plan flat-roofed porch with crude dentilled cornice and low parapet. Rectangular opening to front, inside 6-panel door under elliptical arch. Each side large 16-pane sash under rubbed arch. On 1st floor 3 small 16-pane sashes. Overhanging hipped roof. Large stacks at top of side roof faces. Other sides irregular with cambered-head openings. On rear casements with Gothick heads, probably reused from older building. Inside most original joinery survives, including stair with wreathed handrail at foot, stick balusters, and moulded brackets to treads. In the scullery is bread oven and pump with lead barrel.
