House. Early to mid-C18 with earlier origins. Brick with Welsh slate roofs and brick stacks. Roughly symmetrical plan aligned north-north- east/south-south-west. Two storeys and cellars. East elevation has 3:3:3 windows and blind windows, sashes beneath keystones in central three-window portion, lower wings have segmental heads to ground floor, blind windows to the two right-hand bays; plat bands to each of the three parts, central 6- panelled door with transom light in moulded wooden door case, a further door with glazed 9-pane upper part in left-hand side of right wing. Interior has three-flight early C18 dog-leg staircase with turned balusters; first floor room in south-west wing has mirrored shutters and Gothick quatrefoil and ogee motifs to window surrounds and door, south-west wing incorporates wall-plates and pegged tie-beam trusses with wattle infill possibly late C16 to C17 of earlier enveloped cottage; principal ground floor room on west side of central pavilion has moulded cornice with dentils and egg-and-dart design, adjacent east room also has enriched plaster cornice.
