Details
THURGARTON BECK STREET SK 64 NE (north side) 4/95 Pigeoncote and attached stabling and granary at Manor Farm G.V. II Pigeoncote and attached stabling and granary. Late C18 and early C19. Dressed coursed rubble, some ashlar and red brick. Pantile roofs. C18 2 storey plus garret, single bay pigeoncote with, to the left, the C19 slightly lower 2 storey, 3 bay stabling and granary. Having in the granary block a doorway with stable door and ashlar lintel, to the right is a single flight of ashlar and red brick steps leading to the first floor, further right is a doorway with plank door and ashlar lintel. In the pigeoncote is a single rectangular opening. Above is a doorway with plank door and in the pigeoncote 3 rows of red brick openings for birds with 2 sets of ashlar alighting perches. In the granary block is a single slit ventilator. The rear and right gable walls of the pigeoncote are part red brick, and the gable has part blocked entrances for pigeons.
