Details
DORMINGTON CP CHECKLEY SO 53 NE 5/11 Wootton Farmhouse and adjoining hop kiln 24.3.77 (formerly listed as Wootton Farmhouse) II Farmhouse with adjoining hop kiln. Possibly C17 or early C18, altered and extended during mid-C19. Timber-framed with brick infill, brick addition to north-east with adjoining sandstone rubble hop kiln, sandstone rubble rear outshut, brick stacks, slate roofs. Two framed bays aligned south-west/north-east, facing south-east, with rear outshut giving catslide roof, central entrance and end stacks, later brick and stone additions adjoin to north-east. Two storeys; south-east front, two 2-light casement windows. Central doorway with ledged door. Further openings with segmental heads to window openings in later additions to right. Porch mentioned in earlier list now removed.
