GV II
Marked as Grove House on OS Map. House. Dated 1740 on kneeler on right return. Rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, with rear right wing. In bay 3, 6-panel door below overlight in moulded stone surround with pulvinated frieze and cornice. Sash windows in moulded stone surrounds, blocked in bay 1 due to canted bay window being added to left return. Stone cornice of cyma reversa section. Ashlar copings, ashlar stacks at ends and between bays 1 and 2, 2 and 3. Known as Grove House only since renaming of Thornburgh House.
