BURTON-CUM-WALDEN MORPETH GATE SE 0087-0187 (north side) 12/23 Stables at Flanders Hall 25.3.6.9 GV II
Stables and coach-house. Late C18. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, stone slate roof. 2 storeys and loft; 3 bays. Quoins. Openings have raised ashlar surrounds. Leaved board doors in central segmental-arched carriage opening. Flanking, board doors below fanlights with intersecting glazing bars in round-arched surrounds with keystones and impost blocks. First floor: almost square openings, with 2-light casement window in centre, and board shutters in outer bays. Gable over central bay has oculus with decorative glazing bars and, above, pigeoncote with projecting ledges. Ashlar gable copings.
