3/93 Churchyard Cross about 8 yards south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary

GV I

Churchyard cross. C14. Sandstone ashlar. Three steps rising to square base about two feet high supporting tapering octagonal shaft about 18 feet high rising from square bottom with stepped pyramidical chamfers; at the top of the shaft a Crucifixion on the east face and Virgin and Child on west face, covered by a small gable. This is a complete and finely detailed example. (RCHM Vol I, p 242).
