GV II
Granary complex and adjoining barn. Early C18 and C17 section to granary, C18 barn, altered. Part sandstone rubble, part timber-framed with brick infill and part weatherboarding and part C20 cladding. C20 asbestos roof to granary, pantiled roof to barn. U-shaped granary complex with later lean-to extensions to western sides of north-west and north-east extending wings, barn adjoins further to east. Granary complex: in two sections: four bays with two bays right of centre forward projection wing to western section bearing datestone of 1715 MT in west gable end, three bays with central 3-bay forward projecting wing and slightly higher ridge level to earlier eastern section; two storeys with cambered heads to two doorways and central window to stone north gable end of west wing, further similar doorway and wooden mullioned window to central square-panelled timber-framed section; weatherboard cladding to eastern wing, three rows of loop vents to west gable end with inserted window opening, ball finial at apex; trusses: two queen struts to collar to eastern section, V-struts in both gable ends of wings. Barn: five bays with central threshing floor, inclined strut trusses. Eastern section of granary complex possibly incorporating earlier barn.
