3/7 The Old Post Office
GV II
Cottage. C17, with early C19 cladding. Brick walls and thatched roof. A timber-framed building of 1 storey and attic, north front of 2 above 3 windows. Roof ½-hipped at the east end (with exposed frame in the gable), hipped at the west end and brought to a low eaves above an outshot, eyebrow dormers, catslide to most of the rear. Some exposed bricknogged framing at the rear (masked by a glazed conservatory), but other walls of red brick in Flemish bond, with cambered openings. The ground floor casements have cast-iron frames, there is one old leaded upper casement. C20 ½-glazed door in a plain frame.
