Farmhouse. C17, altered and extended mid-C19. Part timber-framed with painted brick infill and some brick replacement walling and refacing, part brick, tiled roofs and bargeboards, brick ridge stack with cogged cap courses to centre main range and also ridge end stack to rear north wing. H-plan; former 3-bay hall house with inserted chimney and 4 bay cross-wings; 2 storeys and dentilled eaves cornice. Framing exposed to rear of cross-wings, south cross-wing having 4 square panels from sill to wall-plate and north cross- wing having 3 large square panels from sill to wall-plate; short braces in upper corners and queen strut trusses in gable ends. Front elevation: 16-pane sashes with cambered heads throughout; main part has one ground and 2 first floor windows, a blocked central doorway with cambered head and a C20 single storey, flat-roofed, part-glazed extension in angle with north cross- wing; both cross-wings have a ground and first floor window in their gable ends. Interior not inspected. Outshut to rear central range, and single storey extension adjoins rear gable end of north cross-wing. A moated site lies to the north of the farmhouse.
