GV II
Granary and hopkilns. C18 and mid-C19. Part timber-framed with brick and rendered infill on brick base, part brick with plain tiled roofs. Granary is of three bays, two levels. Framing: four panels from sill to wall-plate on north side, two panels at upper floor level on south side, collar and tie-beam truss with two collars and struts at east end. South elevation is open at ground floor level to form a cart store and the upper floor is supported on brick piers; there is a square opening to the upper floor level. The granary is linked to The Grove (qv) by a C20 gabled roofed passageway with a door in its south elevation. The hop kilns are situated at the west end. Two square kilns adjoining to form a rectangular plan. Two levels. The south elevations of the kilns have a ground floor level square opening and an upper floor level square and rectangular openings.
