House, late-mediaeval with C16 cross-wing, 1 storey, (cross-wing 1½ storeys
with attics), 3 windows. Timber-framed, rendered, with thatched roof: axial
C16 chimney of red brick built in cross-passage of earlier open hall. C19 and
mid C20 casements. Boarded C20 entrance door. Mediaeval coupled-rafter roof
rebuilt late C16 or early C17 with clasped purlins. Cross-wing has coupled
rafter roof; an open truss has arch-braces lap-jointed to the tie-beam (use of
this type of joint is an archaic feature for this period in Suffolk).
