WALDINGFIELD ROAD 1. 5377 Chilton Garden wall to east of Chilton Hall TL 84 SE 8/127 II

2. Approached by a drive off Waldingfield Road. A walled garden to the east of Chilton Hall is enclosed on the north, south and west sides by a C16 red brick wall of about 9 ft high. On the south side there are 2 Tudor arched recesses and on the north side 1 remains. On the west side there is a Tudor gateway with a 4-centred arch set in a moulded brick frame. The wall has a quasi castellated capping formed by pairs of moulded cappings set in the brickwork.
