4/211 Church Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Late C17, rebuilding recorded on gable end datestone; WHL/1892. Random rubble stone, stone slate roof with coped verges, lateral stack to front and rendered stone stacks to right. L-plan, gable end to road. Two-storey, 4-window. Chamfered doorway with planked door and 2-light cyma-mullioned casement to right, C20 door to cross wing gable to left, continuous lintel string course. First floor has two 2-light and one 3-light cyma-mullioned casements to right, cross wing has 2-light chamfered mullioned casement over doorway. Right return, facing road, has single cyma- moulded casement to first floor with datestone over. Rear has 2- light cyma-mullioned casement with hoodmould to ground floor and 3- light mullioned casement with dripstone to first floor, blocked doorway. Rear wing to right has 2-light casements and 12-pane first floor sash, outshut attached to left return of wing. Interior not inspected.
