MENDLESHAM BROCKFORD ROAD TM 16 NW 7/35 Barn at Park Farm, 70m - north west of Mendlesham Manor
-- II Barn. C17. Timber framed and weatherboarded, roof clad in corrugated iron. Central cart entry: boarded doors to north, later gabled porch to south with glazed black pantiled roof. Large steel doors inserted at east gable end. Interior. Largely intact full-height studding, curved braces on outside. Wallplates cut out in centre bay. Tie beam braces replaced by knees. Roof has one row of side purlins, morticed into principal rafters except in easternmost bay where they are clasped against diminished principals. Curved wind braces largely missing; additional straight wind bracing has been nailed on later. Roof altered in centre bay.
