Farmhouse. In 2 phases: C16 hall and parlour, the service cell to right probably of c.1600. Timber framed, mainly plastered, with some colourwashed brick casing. Roof plaintiled to front and pantiled to rear. 2 storeys and attic. 3-cell lobby entry form. 3 windows, C18 small-paned casements. Early C19 doorway: moulded architrave with corner squares and a cornice; 4-panelled door, the upper panels glazed. Internal stack, the part immediately above the ridge with an inset panel, the top section rebuilt. Small wing at rear, probably once a dairy. Interior somewhat modernised with much of the frame concealed. Chamfered joists in hall and in 2 first floor rooms. Evidence for original windows in the former gable end wall, one with incomplete cavetto mullions. Roof over C16 section has clasped and butt purlins.
