THAME PRIEST END SP7006SW (North-west side) 8/148 Left Entrance Lodge approx. 45m. SE of Rycotewood College

Lodge. c.1835 by George Wilkinson. Uncoursed stone rubble base; red brick; slate pyramidal roof with lead ridges. Octagonal single-cell plan. Single storey. Plank door with cambered brick head to angled side facing College buildings. 8-pane window with cambered brick head, to recess to cardinal side facing driveway, having dentil course to top of recess. 8-pane window with cambered brick head to cardinal side facing College building. Flat stone string-course and dentil brick course to eaves. Octagonal pyramidal roof with ball finial. Interior not inspected. One of a pair of lodges to the College buildings (former workhouse).
