GV II

House. Mid/late C16, remodelled in early C19. Originally timber-framed. Front of early C19 colourwashed brick; gabled old tile roof; brick end and lateral stacks. L-plan with rear left wing. 2 storeys; one-window range. Broken pediment over 4-panelled door. Sashes set in early C19 canted bay. Outshut to rear right. Late C16 rear wing of 2 storeys, 2-bay range: right side first-floor wall has jettied square timber framing flanked by tension braces, horizontal sliding sash and C19 iron casements; gabled old tile roof with rear end stack. Interior: front range has jowled and moulded post to chamfered beam, chamfered and stopped bressumer over open fireplace, and C18 cupboard with panelled doors on first floor: 3-bay collar truss roof with clasped purlins and curved windbraces includes No.58 (q.v.). Rear range has quartered chamfered and stopped beams and similar 2-bay roof.
