Former mill, apparently C16 origins and C19, heavily altered in conversion to house in C20. Rubble stone and ashlar with slate roof, coped gables and south stack. Three storeys, the upper floor formerly with 4 large louvred openings to front and rear with ashlar piers, those to front with C20 glazing. First floor to front has three 4-light hollow-moulded Tudor mullion windows with hoodmoulds, that to centre original, the others C20. Ground floor has C20 three-light mullion window each side of arched door. Large iron waterwheel attached to left. North end wall has pointed moulded doorway, ovolo-step-ovolo moulded, possibly C17 at ground level (first floor level of front), C20 window above with original moulded lintel and attic moulded depressed-arched doorway, possibly C17. Mill pond behind up to first floor level of front. Mill was attached to Turleigh House in C18 and C19, used as a tan-yard for over 100 years according to sale particulars of 1857.
