GV II
House. c.1911, date on left gable end of garden front. By Guy Dawber for himself. Red brick; complex old plain-tile roof; brick stacks. Complex plan. 2-storey, 4-window range. Sash door to centre with wood architrave surround with pediment. Irregular fenestration of metal leaded casements. End and lateral stacks with moulded brick bases and caps. Rear: central loggia under catslide roof with gabled cross-wings to left and right. Interior: moulded plaster border to entrance hall ceiling. Straight flight and winder stairs with lattice balustrade. Sitting room to left has shallow arched ceiling with moulded plaster bands and border. Georgian-style stone fireplace. Study, originally dining room, to rear right has deeply ribbed wood ceiling. Artisan-style stone fireplace with bronze medallions. Fitted sideboard to window recess with later doors to base.
