Farmhouse. Mid C18. Limestone rubble with squared quoins and some brick
dressings; slate and old plain-tile roofs with brick gable stacks. Double-depth
plan with gable outshut. Symmetrical 3-window front with rendered eaves cove and
storey band. Central 4-panel door has overlight and flat hood on stone brackets.
Sashes have rendered lintels at ground floor and timber lintels at first floor,
all with irregular brick quoins. Slate coverings to front slope and outshut roof
to right. Remaining slopes of double-span roof in plain tiles. Interior: Central
stair with Chinese trellis balustrade. Iron railings to front run between ashlar
piers with pyramidal caps, and brick wall returns on left. Certificate relating
to Sun Insurance plaque on front wall is dated 1768.
