House, formerly a pair of cottages. Said to have been converted into cottages from the stable block serving the adjacent public house, now called The Retreat (q.v. Item 8/93). C18 core, mid C19 facade. Timber framed, the facade of colourwashed brick, the remainder plastered. Thatched roof. One and half storeys. Two windows, mid-late C19 three-light casements under cambered arches. Two gabled dormers with matching two-light windows. To the right, a doorway with C20 two-panelled door. The corresponding doorway to the left is now bricked-up. Central ridge stack. Evidence of C18 core internally with a pegged oak frame.
