II

Farmer farmhouse, now detached house. Late C16 core range with early C19 east wing and late C19 west outshut. Timber box-frame construction to C16 block with thatched roof, render to additions, that to right with Welsh slates, that to left with double Roman tiles. Paired ashlar stack to core range, end brick stacks to wings L-shaped core range with earlier C19 east wing forming T- shaped plan. South front with central 2-storey and attic gabled block of 1-bay width projecting from coeval 2-storey (upper windows visible on north front) range to left and 2-storey, 2-window C19 range to right. Small pane casement fenestration throughout. Lime plastering and some refenestration and insertion of French windows to the left of advanced block in progress at time of resurvey (July 1986). North front has plank door to C19 wing, plank door with moulded architrave and thatched porch to core range and further C19 plank door. Interior. At foot of stack in core range is an inglenook fireplace to north room and smaller fireplace with moulded jambs to south room. Several bar-stop-chamfered beams and, in the south parlour, complex moulded beams with Tudor rose stops.
