Details
WOOLPIT THE STREET (SOUTH WEST TL 9762 - SIDE) 5/170 No.9, Bridges GV II House, C16 with mid C19 alterations. Timber-framed, encased at the front in mid C19 gault brick. Concrete plaintiled roof with axial C17 chimney of red brick. The upper shaft rebuilt in mid C20 red brick. 2 storeys. 3 windows. Mid C19 casements, with transomes at ground storey; flat arches of gauged brick. 5-panelled mid C19 entrance door with small oblong fanlight. Double- ogee moulded beams in parlour. Evidence for former long-wall jetty towards street. Two-tier side-purlin roof.
