FRESSINGFIELD CHURCH STREET TM 27 NE 10/23 - Providence House GV II
House. Early C19, perhaps earlier core. L-shape plan, on a corner site. Timber framed, with plasterwork lined in imitation of ashlar. Roof of black pantiles, hipped to the corner. 2 storeys. 3 windows to Church Street front, 2 bays with small-paned sashes in flush frames, the right hand bay with mid C20 large-paned aluminium windows in the original unaltered openings. Central doorway: 4-panel entrance door (the upper panels glazed), reeded pilasters and entablature. 3-bay return front, 3 of the original sash windows now replaced by mid C20 windows. Doorway with 4-panel bolection-moulded door, reeded pilasters, frieze and cornice. Internal stack to each range. Included for group value.
