CHIRTON THE STREET SU 05 NE (west side) 3/66 No 57, (The Old Vicarage) GV II Vicarage. c1800. Flemish brickwork with slate roofs. Two storeys, 3 bay front block with central stair hall, and parallel rear block added in later C19. Central 6-panelled door, the upper panels glazed, and fanlight within arched opening, all under wide cast iron lattice porch with a swept felt roof. Twelve-paned sashes with painted reveals and concealed boxes, and with gauged brick lintels. Narrow eaves and roof hipped. Rear block extends 1 bay to left of main block, 2 and 3-light casement windows with segmental brick arches. Two storey timber framed bay window at east end of rear elevation, with stair in adjoining bay, raised lightly above eaves. Roof to rear block also hipped.
